Madurai Chitra Festival 2008

Every year Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and Azhagar temple together celebrates the chitra festival occasion. In Meenakshi Temple, the Chitra festival starts on 9th April 2008 by flagging the Temple symbol. From that day onwards, Lord Sundareswarar and Meenakshi Amman takes procession in four masi streets of Madurai both morning and evening.
